McCullough Equipment Group is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our dealership team in the Chicagoland area. This role plays a vital part in the success of our sales operations by assisting walk-in customers, handling inbound inquiries, and supporting outside sales efforts across Kubota construction, compact, turf, and outdoor power equipment.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and team-oriented—someone who takes pride in helping customers find the right solutions while contributing to a positive and collaborative dealership environment. Success in this position is measured by customer satisfaction, teamwork, and overall sales performance.

Essential Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom and over the phone, understanding their equipment needs and recommending the right solutions.
- Guide customers through equipment features, pricing, financing, and trade-in options while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Build strong, long-term relationships by prioritizing excellent customer service and follow-up communication.
- Support outside sales representatives by qualifying leads, scheduling appointments, and preparing quotes.
- Ensure the showroom and display units are clean, organized, and customer-ready.
Team Collaboration & Operational Support
- Work closely with other team members across parts, service, rental, and outside sales departments to ensure seamless customer support.
- Share product knowledge and assist co-workers to keep dealership operations running smoothly.
- Process transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date CRM records for all customer interactions.
- Assist in maintaining showroom inventory and updating displays.
- Contribute positively to a team culture built on trust, communication, and mutual accountability.
Brand & Community Representation
- Represent McCullough Equipment Group with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
- Participate in dealership events, open houses, and community activities that strengthen the Kubota brand.
- Consistently demonstrate the dealership’s commitment to teamwork, execution, and exceptional service.
Customer Experience Expectations
- Deliver a friendly, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented customer experience at every interaction.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of retail or inside sales experience preferred (equipment, automotive, or related industries).
- Familiarity with construction, landscaping, or agricultural equipment is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
